Trump: "New round of US-Iran nuclear deal talks to begin June 12"
![]() 633 Tuesday, 10 June, 2025, 11:16 US President Donald Trump announced that a new round of negotiations on the US-Iran nuclear agreement will take place on June 12. "We have a meeting with Iran on Thursday, so we will wait until Thursday," Trump told reporters. The parties have not yet reached an agreement on uranium enrichment. The US wants Iran to completely abandon it, while Iran continues to insist that uranium enrichment should continue, the US president noted. It should be recalled that Iran and the US, mediated by Oman, have held five rounds of indirect talks on the Iranian nuclear program. The last of them took place in Rome on May 23. After the talks, the Iranian Foreign Minister announced mechanisms proposed by Oman that could help remove obstacles to progress in the negotiations. Such progress, according to the Iranian Foreign Minister, is possible after one or two rounds. |
