The President of Parliamentary Assembly (PA) of OSCE George Tsereteli yesterday during the meeting with Azerbaijani authorities underlined the necessity of doubling efforts to resolve the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict.
Reported the OSCE press service.
During the meeting with Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev Tsereteli informed about anxiety concerning violations on the contact line and has reminded that conflict is a burden for society.
He also has approved the support of the OSCE Minsk Group co-chairs efforts and personal representative of OSCE Chairman-in-office Anjey Kasperchik.
Delegation led by Tsereteli in Baku held the meetings with Azarbaijani Parliament Speaker Oktay Asadov, Foreign Ministry President Elmar Mahmediarov and other officials.
Let's remind that on March 12-17, Azerbaijan is holding large-scale military exercises, which, according to the Armenian side, is a violation of OSCE commitments.
"Azerbaijan has started military exercises (the most significant event of the re-election campaign of the country's president) without informing about it to OSCE participating states grossly violating the commitment undertaken to the organization", said Armenian Foreign Ministry spokesman Tigran Balayan.
