In Japan, a man died of the world’s oldest married couple. This is the Agency “Kyodo”.
108-year-old Masao Matsumoto died from heart failure in Takamatsu. At the time of death he lived together with his wife Miyako 81 years and 201 days.
During the marriage the couple had five daughters. Later they had 13 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren.
Honorary status from the Guinness Book of records Matsumoto received in 2018. It is noted that wife for 57 days broke the record of the Norwegians Carl and Gurken, Dolven, whose total age amounted to 210 years and two months at the time of death of a spouse.
