Austrian ski resorts close and season cancelled amid #coronavirus concerns

ll major resorts in Austria’s main ski regions will close on March 15 to curb the further spread of coronavirus in Europe.
Ski lifts in resorts in the provinces of Tirol, Salzburg and Vorarlberg will operate for the final time this winter on March 15, following this all accomodation, including hotels and apartments, will close from March 16.
“These comprehensive measures are carried out in close coordination between the authorities and tourism partners. The health and safety of the population, the employees of the country's tourist businesses and guests from all over the world has top priority,” said a statement from teh Austrian National Tourist Board.
