Congressman Adam Schiff wrote: "In commemoration of the Armenian Genocide, I am joining the Foothill Communities Armenian Genocide Commemoration Task Force by lighting a candle in honor of the 1.5 million Armenians who were murdered during this dark period of history. I would encourage all who can to participate in this virtual vigil by lighting a candle in your window from 8:00 to 10:00 PM tonight. As we remember those who were killed, let us always be vigilant of atrocities as they unfold around us and never remain silent when we witness these injustices. We will never forget".
