Tusk offered to nominate Tikhanovskaya for the Nobel Peace Prize

Former President of the European Council, head of the largest pan-European party — the European people’s party-Donald Tusk, proposed to nominate Belarusian oppositionists Sergei and Svetlana Tikhanovsky for the Nobel peace prize.“I believe it will send a strong signal if the EU nominates Svetlana Tikhanovskaya and her husband Sergei, who is still in prison, for the Nobel peace prize to pay tribute to all Belarusian detainees at this most peaceful moment of the year,” he wrote on Twitter.
