Xi Jinping: “The confrontation between China and the United States is a catastrophe for the two countries and for the whole world”

Chinese President Xi Jinping in a conversation with US President Joe Biden said that the clash of the two countries would lead to disaster for the whole world.

According to him, cooperation is the only choice in the bilateral relations between Beijing and Washington.

“Sino-US cooperation is in many ways favorable for the United States and China, as well as for the whole world. The confrontation between China and the United States is absolutely a catastrophe for the two countries and for the whole world,” Xi Jinping was quoted as saying by China Central Television.

The Chairman stressed that, despite different views on some issues, the parties should resolve differences based on mutual respect.

In addition, Xi Jinping called for the restoration of the mechanisms of dialogue between Beijing and Washington, as well as to clearly define each other’s policies to avoid miscalculations and opinions.
