Magnitude 5.2 Quake Hits SW Iran, No Casualties Reported

An earthquake measuring 5.2 on the Richter scale struck Iran’s southwestern province of Ilam on Sunday.
The quake occurred at 9:24 am local time on Sunday morning near the city of Salehabad.
It was felt by people in other cities in Ilam and in nearby provinces like Kermanshah.
Ayat Qeysarbeigi, director general of Ilam Province’s crisis management department, told Tasnim that relief and rescue teams have been dispatched to the affected areas.
He said there have been no reports of damage or casualties yet.
