Former Kazakh national security committee chairman Karim Masimov detained

Former Kazakh National Security Committee chairman Karim Masimov was detained, the National Security Committee said.
On January 6, a pre-trial investigation into high treason was launched, the statement said.
On the same day, Masimov and other persons were detained and placed in a temporary detention facility on suspicion of high treason.
