Part of the Great Wall of China collapsed due to earthquake
1842 Monday, 10 January, 2022, 10:24 A section of the Great Wall of China, about two meters long, collapsed after the earthquake. It is reported by the Global Times. The natural phenomenon occurred in Qinghai province in northwest China. The magnitude of the earthquake was 6.9 points, and its epicenter was 114 kilometers from the site of the collapse. The specialists have already started repair and restoration work. According to the newspaper, the earthquake occurred in a sparsely populated area, but tremors were felt in several large cities. As a result of the incident, nine people were injured. There was no information about the victims. |
