Nazarbayev's nephew Kairat Satybaldyuly arrested for 2 months

The Nur-Sultan court ruled in favor of the detention of Kairat Satybaldyuly.

He will be in custody for 2 months, the court said.

Kairat Satybaldyuly is a nephew of the first president of Kazakhstan, Nursultan Nazarbayev. He is the son of Satybaldy Nazarbayev, ex-president's brother.

Kazakh Anti-Corruption Service is investigating a criminal probe into abuse of power and embezzlement of funds of Kazakhtelecom, Kairat Satybaldyuly was detained as part of this case.
