Austrian Chancellor is going to visit Moscow
1213 Sunday, 10 April, 2022, 20:30 Austrian Chancellor Karl Nehammer is going to visit Moscow on Monday, April 11, according to the newspaper Kronen Zeitung, citing the chancellor’s entourage. It is noted that the trip was agreed with the President of the European Commission (EC) Ursula von der Leyen and German Chancellor Olaf Scholz. Nehammer, he says, wants to get into “building bridges” and plans to “try his best to get a little closer to the world.” As the chancellor’s entourage noted, this requires not only telephone conversations, but also personal visits. On April 9, Nehammer arrived on a visit to Ukraine. At the same time, he said that the European Union would not stop tightening anti-Russian sanctions until Moscow stopped the special military operation in Ukraine. He stressed that restrictive measures are aimed at ending hostilities. |
