UN human rights agency: 1,982 civilians killed in Ukraine
![]() 1201 Saturday, 16 April, 2022, 11:00 The Office of the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights says at least 1,982 civilians have been killed in Ukraine since the start of Russia's invasion on February 24. The figure, as of April 14, includes 162 children. The agency says 716 deaths were reported in the eastern region of Donetsk and Luhansk. There were 1,266 reported in other areas, including Kyiv, Kharkiv in the east, Chernihiv in the north and Kherson in the south. The OHCHR says 2,651 civilians have been injured. |
