Nazarbayev’s status will be enshrined in the Constitution of Kazakhstan
![]() 1148 Monday, 25 April, 2022, 15:24 Ermek Abdrasulov, a member of the working group on amendments and additions to the Constitution of Kazakhstan, announced his intention to determine the status of the first President of the Republic of Kazakhstan – Elbasy Nursultan Nazarbayev in the Constitution, Zakon.kz reports. “As for the issues of the status of the first President in the Constitution, we have written that this is regulated by the Constitution and constitutional laws,” he said. According to the lawyer, the working group came to the conclusion that this status should be determined already in the Constitution itself, and not to refer to the laws that specify this norm. “That is, the first president of the Republic of Kazakhstan is the founder of independent Kazakhstan. That is, this status will be determined. This will be, I think, of great importance, because those merits, that objective fact that exists, you have all seen, the whole world sees it, it will be enshrined in the Constitution,” Abdrasulov added. |
