Turkey hopes that the process of creating a 30-kilometer-deep security corridor along the Syrian border will be completed soon, Turkish leader Recep Tayyip Erdogan said.
According to him, it is necessary to achieve the goal, because this will put an end to the fact that members of the Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK), recognized as a terrorist organization in Turkey, are tricking Turkish children into joining the organization.
“We hope that we will complete the creation of a 30-kilometer security corridor in the very near future,” he said.
Earlier, Erdogan said that the Turkish side is against the admission of Sweden and Finland to the North Atlantic Alliance.
