European Council President Charles Michel has said he is confident that EU leaders will make a positive decision on granting Ukraine candidate status.
He stated this in Brussels on Thursday before the meeting of EU heads of state and government with Western Balkan leaders, which is being held before the EU summit, according to an Ukrinform correspondent.
"This is a decisive moment for the European Union. This is a geopolitical choice that we will make today. I am confident that today we will grant the candidate status to Ukraine and to Moldova and express a clear and strong European perspective for Ukraine, Georgia and Moldova," Michel said.
