Macron promised Zelensky to work on new sanctions against Russia

This was reported in the Elysee Palace. “The President of the Republic confirmed the intention of France, together with its European partners, to work on new sanctions,” TASS reports with reference to AFP, which quotes a statement from the Elysee Palace. Macron spoke with Zelensky by phone. During the conversation, the President of France condemned the entry of the liberated territories into the Russian Federation and expressed support for Ukraine. The European Union and other Western countries have imposed sanctions against the Russian Federation due to a special operation in Ukraine. |
