Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky on Friday signed a decree according to which Ukraine recognizes the four islands of the Kuril chain – Iturup, Kunashir, Shikotan and Khabomai – as territories of Japan occupied by Russia. The Verkhovna Rada supported this decision by a majority of votes
