![]() 661 Sunday, 01 January, 2023, 15:06 One of the popular nightclubs on Belgrade’s river rafts began to sink during the New Year’s celebration. The police evacuated the Freestyler club, but no one was seriously injured in the accident. According to the police source of the Serbian news agency Tanjug, the raft in Belgrade’s Ušće began to sink because there were significantly too many people on it. Police said no one was seriously injured in the panicked stampede of visitors. According to the Serbian portal Nova.rs, one woman was slightly injured and was treated at the scene. Photos circulating online show a half-submerged covered raft and a crowd of people on the bank who successfully left the club. As one of the visitors told Kurir, the panic started ten minutes after midnight. “People were jumping, running, there was panic. Nobody knew what was going on. The flood started due to the large number of people in the last part of the raft, there was a general panic. There was only one way out. It was not immediately clear whether it was a flood,” he said. |
