At least 43 people were killed in a head-on collision between a passenger train and a freight train in Greece near Larissa. The chief coroner of the city of Larissa, Rubini Leondari. According to her, DNA analysis would be required to identify the dead.
The Greek Fire Service noted that 85 people were hospitalized after the collision.
The head of the station Larissa, who was previously arrested after a collision of trains, admitted his guilt, saying that he misdirected the passenger train on the wrong way.
