Blinken and Lavrov first talks since the beginning of the Ukraine war

US Secretary of State Anthonny Blinken And his Russian counterpart spoke briefly during the G20 talks in New Delhi. A senior State Department official said the discussion in Delhi lasted for about 10 minutes. According to Blinken he told Lavrov that The U.S. support to Ukraine will be continuous and that they will continue to help them, as long as it is needed.
“End this war of aggression, engage in meaningful diplomacy that can produce a just and lasting peace," Mr Blinken to h is counterpart.
He said he also urged Russia to rejoin the New START treaty, and that The U.S., regardless of any external circumstances, is ready to negotiate and act according to the terms of the Treaty.
