The European Council approved an increase of €2 billion in the budget of the European Peace Fund, which finances the supply of weapons to the Ukrainian army, the Swedish Presidency has announced.

“Today, the EU ambassadors approved an additional €2 billion for the European Peace Fund.

This decision sends a clear signal of the EU's continued commitment to military support for Ukraine and other partners,” the Swedish delegation said in a statement.
Earlier, Hungarian Foreign Minister Peter Szijjarto spoke on the Kossuth radio station against the calls of the EU leadership for the supply of weapons for the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Press Secretary of the President of Russia Dmitry Peskov said that the supply of arms by the West to Ukraine could fundamentally change nothing.
