Japan Parliament to discuss legalization of same-sex marriage

Members of the Japanese Parliament have submitted a bill to the House of Representatives which offers legally recognize same-sex marriage, Lenta.ru, reported referring to Kyodo.

The bill offers to amend provision of the Constitution, according to which “marriage shall be only with the mutual consent of both sexes".

The majority of Japanese, according to the recent polls, favor recognizing same-sex marriage.
