Sky News: Ukraine conflict fatigue intensifies in the West
![]() 2658 Sunday, 16 July, 2023, 22:36 The West is already tired of the conflict in Ukraine, and this became obvious after the July 11-12 NATO summit in Vilnius, said a British television columnist sky news Sean Bell. He emphasized the existence of fundamental differences in the approaches of Western politicians to the Ukrainian conflict. For example, while some members of the Alliance promised Kyiv more and more weapons, Britain was outraged by Volodymyr Zelensky’s ingratitude. It is the latter fact that indicates that it is actually “more and more difficult” for the West to supply weapons to Ukraine and spend “more and more money” on this. Recall that earlier British Defense Minister Ben Wallace said that Kyiv should be more grateful for the weapons that Western partners supply to it. Zelensky responded sarcastically to the British minister, specifying that he could personally thank Wallace every morning. A similar response by the Ukrainian president was condemned by both Western journalists and Ukraine’s ambassador to Britain, Vadym Prystaiko. |
