On September 1, the Minister of Defence of the Republic of Armenia Suren Papikyan received the newly appointed Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran to Armenia Mehdi Sobhani.
The meeting was attended by the Defence Attaché of the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran to Armenia, Colonel Bahman Sadeghin.
A number of topics of Armenian-Iranian cooperation, as well as regional security issues were discussed.
The Ambassador was briefed on the details about the Azerbaijani provocation near Sotk, on September 1 by The Minister of Defence.
