Haaretz: In Israel, on the coast of Ashkelon, a rocket hit a hotel

As a result of shelling from the Gaza Strip, a rocket hit a hotel in Ashkelon in southern Israel, Haaretz reports.
It is clarified that sirens warning of rocket attacks were heard several times in the city. The military wing of the Palestinian radical organization Hamas threatened to launch rocket attacks on the city and called on civilians to evacuate.
The report reads: “A missile hit the Regina Hotel in Ashkelon in southern Israel.”
It is known that Israel was subjected to a large-scale rocket attack from the Gaza Strip. As a result of the shelling, the number of deaths on the Israeli side exceeded 900. The Israeli authorities, in turn, reported that the country was officially at war.
Meanwhile, former CIA analyst Larry Johnson said that if the American weapons that the United States initially intended to transfer to Kiev fell into the hands of Hamas militants, then Israel would face a difficult battle. Read more about this in material Public News Service.
