Israel has resumed water supplies to the south of Gaza Strip, after strong pressure from the United States government. The news site "Axios" reports this, citing two Israeli officials. Last October 7, after the attacks perpetrated by the Palestinian Islamist movement Hamas in Israeli territory, the Jewish state announced the blockade of water supplies to Gaza. The Israeli Energy Minister, Israel Katz, had said that "no water tap will be turned on" until the hostages held by Hamas are freed.
