Iran has warned about the possible involvement of new players in the conflict in Israel

The support of Israel by other countries may lead to the inclusion of new players in the conflict. This was stated on October 19 by the head of the General Staff of the Iranian Armed Forces, Mohammad Bagheri, in a conversation with the head of the Russian Defense Ministry, Sergei Shoigu.

"The continuation of the crimes of the Zionist regime, its direct support and assistance from other states complicate the situation and may lead to new players entering the arena," Bagheri was quoted by Tasnim news agency. Earlier on October 19, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov noted that the risk with which the Palestinian-Israeli conflict could escalate into a region-wide one is quite high.
