David Cameron has been appointed Foreign Secretary in a return to the political frontline which has stunned Westminster.
Downing Street announced the appointment of the former prime minister to the role and said he was being handed a life peerage to enable him to take up the Cabinet position.
Meanwhile, James Cleverly has replaced Suella Braverman as Home Secretary following her sacking, as Rishi Sunak conducts a major reshuffle of his top team.
Mr Cameron has been away from the political frontline for more than seven years after his exit from No10 in July 2016 in the wake of the Brexit referendum.
