Germany announces new military aid package for Ukraine, including drones, ammunition, vehicles

The package includes artillery and tank ammunition, drones, grenade launchers, and mine-clearing vehicles, as reported by the German government. This latest aid includes 18,000 rounds of 155mm ammunition from Bundeswehr stocks and German factories, ammunition for Leopard 2A6 tanks, 14 reconnaissance drones of the Vector model, and 30 reconnaissance drones of the RQ-35 Heidrun type. Additionally, Ukraine will receive five Warthog tracked repair and recovery vehicles, nine Warthog tracked command vehicles, six WISENT 1 mine-clearing tanks, two BEAVER bridge-laying tanks, one Bergepanzer 2 armored recovery vehicle, one Dachs 2A1 armored engineering vehicle, nine mine plows, three border patrol vehicles, and six Mercedes-Benz Zetros fuel tankers. The package also includes a SATCOM surveillance system, 330 infrared cameras, 2,056 RGW90 Matador grenade launchers, 70 GMG grenade launchers, 3,000 camouflage nets, 2,000 ponchos, and two emergency power generators. Furthermore, the German government has updated its list of future military assistance to Ukraine, which now includes Patriot missile system rockets, 20 Marder armored combat vehicles, and other equipment. This announcement follows Germany’s recent commitment to supply Ukraine with 10,000 artillery rounds from Bundeswehr arsenals in the coming days.
