PM Modi submits resignation
![]() 1694 Wednesday, 05 June, 2024, 16:49 Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the Union Cabinet Wednesday submitted their resignation to President Droupadi Murmu. The President accepted the resignation and requested the Prime Minister and the Union Council of Ministers to continue in office till the new Government is formed, the Rashtrapati Bhavan said in a statement. Modi is likely to take oath for a third consecutive term on Saturday, June 8, after the Lok Sabha elections gave the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) a clear majority. The swearing-in ceremony of the Union Cabinet is also likely to take place the same day. |
