According to the report, the meeting was set to be a strategic dialogue on Iran, and would have been attended by officials from the Pentagon, the US State Department and intelligence agencies, along with their Israeli counterparts. Following Netanyahu’s accusation that the US was “withholding weapons and ammunition” amid Israel’s war with Hamas in Gaza and the border skirmishes with Hezbollah in the north, however, the White House canceled the meeting. |
