Iran specifies conditions for Tehran cooperation with new Syria authorities

Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi said that renouncing support for terrorism, respecting the rights of Syrian Shiites and distancing themselves from Israel are the main conditions for Iran's cooperation with the new Syrian authorities. His words are quoted by TASS.
"It depends on their behavior and policy towards the Islamic Republic of Iran and the Shiites of Syria," the Iranian Foreign Minister said.
Earlier, Araghchi said that a civil war and the disintegration of the country could occur in Syria after the capture of Damascus by the armed opposition. According to him, the fears are related to the possibility of a civil or sectarian war, the partial or complete disintegration of Syria and its transformation into a haven for terrorists.
