Shooting in Northeast Washington
![]() 1742 Saturday, 04 January, 2025, 11:43 Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) detectives are investigating a shooting in Northeast D.C. that sent five people - all adults - to the hospital. The shooting happened in the 1500 block of Harry Thomas Way, NE, which is just walking distance from Union Market and Gallaudet University. At 8:18 pm Fifth District officers arrived at the scene and found two men and one woman who were all conscious and breathing despite suffering gunshot wounds, before taking them to a hospital. Later, two additional men who were also shot on scene took themselves to an area hospital. Both were conscious and breathing. According to the preliminary investigation, all five people who were shot knew each other. According to MPD, the shooting stemmed from a dispute among the group. |
