The consequences of the wildfires in Los Angeles, USA, are truly catastrophic: dozens of fatalities, hundreds of injuries, and thousands left homeless.
The fires have caused particularly severe damage to our compatriots, destroying not only their homes but also the buildings of Armenian community institutions. It was especially heartbreaking to see the complete destruction of the Sahag-Mesrob Armenian School in Pasadena.
We extend our deepest condolences and sympathy to the people of Los Angeles, especially to our compatriots.
We pray for the disaster to be contained as soon as possible.
