Germany supports efforts to ensure lasting peace and stability in the South Caucasus region, Chancellor of the Federal Republic of Germany Olaf Scholz said at a meeting with Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev in Davos, APA reports.

It is also noted that the German Chancellor inquired about the progress of the investigation into the crash of the Azerbaijani AZAL airline, and issues of mutual interest were discussed.
