![]() 734 Wednesday, 22 January, 2025, 10:49 Two French judges have issued an arrest warrant for Bashar al-Assad on suspicion of war crimes, the second such move by French judicial authorities, according to a source. A month and a half after the fall of his regime, two French judges today issued an arrest warrant for complicity in war crimes against Bashar al-Assad. The warrant was issued in his capacity as the “supreme commander of the armed forces” and thus responsible for the crimes committed in the country. This is also the second arrest warrant issued by French judges from the Crimes Against Humanity Division of the Paris Judicial Court against Assad, with a previous warrant issued in June of last year. |
