Negotiations between the US and Russia became the first and significant step towards peaceful settlement of the Russian-Ukrainian conflict.
This was stated by White House Press Secretary Caroline Leavitt during a Fox News broadcast.
"This is truly a monumental step towards achieving peace in the conflict between Russia and Ukraine," she noted. Leavitt emphasized that the American administration continues to maintain contacts with Ukrainian leadership and European allies, striving to take into account the position of all parties.
"To resolve the situation, it is necessary to maintain dialogue with both sides of the conflict. This is an important first step towards peace," concluded the White House representative.
