The European Union will hold an emergency summit to discuss accelerating military aid for Ukraine and strengthening the bloc’s defense.The European Council will convene March 6, two weeks before a planned quarterly summit, Council President Antonio Costa said Sunday. EU member states are preparing a €20 billion ($21 billion) military package for Ukraine and steps to boost defense spending, including a potential loosening of fiscal rules.
