Negotiations between representatives of Russia and the U․ S. started in Istanbul

Negotiations between representatives of Russia and the United States have begun at the residence of the US Consul General in Istanbul on issues related to the work of the embassies, a RIA Novosti correspondent reports.

Earlier, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov, announcing the meeting, expressed hope that the results of the event would show how quickly and effectively the two sides can move forward in resolving problematic issues.
