This was reported by the Fars news agency, citing sources. According to their information, the Vice President submitted his request after a meeting of the Iranian Majlis, during which Hemmati was removed from office. It is noted that President Masoud Pezeshkian has not yet accepted Zarif's statement. This is the second time since the formation of the current Iranian government that Zarif has tried to resign. |
