IDF chief Zamir declares 2025 a year of war on Gaza and Iran

The new IDF Chief of Staff, Eyal Zamir, said 2025 will be a year of war with the Palestinian Hamas movement in the Gaza Strip and with Iran, noting that the Israeli military does not plan to abandon other fronts, The Jerusalem Post reported on Thursday.
"IDF Chief of Staff Eyal Zamir, who took over as the IDF Chief of Staff, said 2025 will be a year of war focused on Gaza and Iran, as well as other fronts," the report said.
The new IDF Chief of Staff said that every effort will be made to return hostages held by the Palestinian Hamas movement, but no specific changes to the current policy were named.
