Mass repression and executions of Alawites are being carried out in Syria

Syrian government forces, formed from members of the Hayat Tahrir al-Sham Islamist movement, are carrying out mass repressions and executions of Alawites.

Earlier, it was reported that Alawites in Syria have rebelled against government forces. The uprising was triggered by an attempt by Hayat Tahrir al-Sham Islamists to "cleanse" Latakia.
