Council of Europe adopts resolution demanding Baku release of Armenian prisoners

By an overwhelming majority of 523 votes in favor, 3 against, and 84 abstentions, the European Parliament today adopted an urgent resolution on the Armenians held in Baku, including the former leadership of Artsakh, calling on Azerbaijan to release them immediately and unconditionally.
The document, jointly adopted by all major factions of the Council of Europe, emphasizes that the trials against Armenians in Baku are fraudulent, they are subjected to inhuman and degrading treatment, including the use of banned psychotropic substances.
