Lukashenko: "The settlement in Ukraine will be possible when Russia plays its trump cards"

Russia has “big trump cards” in the situation in Ukraine, so it will be possible to reach an agreement on the settlement when Russia plays those cards. Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko expressed confidence in this in a conversation with journalists.

“They (the Russians) have big trump cards in their hands, as US President Donald Trump noted. Now if they keep those trump cards, play them and start winning this card game, then we will reach an agreement,” the Belarusian president believes.

Lukashenko added that “there will be no pressure on Russia” in the Ukrainian settlement issue, the US has put pressure on Kiev.
