At least three people have been killed in a powerful explosion in the southern Syrian city of Latakia. According to Syria-TV, a building collapsed in the Al-Raml district, causing panic among local residents.
Many people were reported injured, but the exact number of victims is not yet known.

The causes of the incident are unknown.
