An accident involving two Alpha Jets from the Patrouille de France during rehearsals has just occurred in eastern France, according to a statement from French Minister of the Armed Forces Sébastien Lecornu.
Lecornu also stated that “Emergency services are being mobilized.”
The incident reportedly took place during a formation flight, while the aerobatic team was preparing for an upcoming public demonstration.
The Patrouille acrobatique de France is translated to “French Acrobatic Patrol,” which is also known as the Patrouille de France, is the precision aerobatics demonstration unit of the French Air and Space Force, officially commissioned in 1953.
They are very similar to the United States Blue Angels.
