Seven Palestinians have been killed in Israeli strikes on the Gaza Strip
![]() 592 Friday, 28 March, 2025, 12:14 At least seven Palestinians have been killed in Israeli strikes on the Gaza Strip, Al Jazeera reported. According to the TV channel, two people were killed and several wounded during an operation by the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) in Al-Mawasi, a humanitarian zone near Khan Yunis in the southern Gaza Strip. Another two Palestinians were killed and one sustained wounds during an Israeli attack on Rafah near the border with Egypt. The news outlet also reported three fatalities in Gaza City in attacks by Israel’s air force. Several people were wounded during the raid. On March 18, the Israeli military resumed military operations in Gaza, carrying out intensive strikes on the enclave. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s office stated that the move was due to the Gaza-based Palestinian group Hamas’ rejection of proposals put forward by mediators and US Special Presidential Envoy Steve Witkoff. According to the Israeli authorities, the goal of the operation is to ensure the release of all hostages held in Gaza. Hamas, in turn, blamed Israel and the US for the resumption of military activities. |
