Passenger train derails in Czech Republic

A passenger train derailed at a railway crossing near the city of Olomouc, injuring two people. This was reported on April 2 by the newspaper Ceske noviny.
"Two women traveling on the train suffered minor injuries when the train derailed. It was a laceration of the head and nose, as well as various abrasions," the report says.
It is specified that the accident site was assessed by firefighters and the fuel leak was eliminated. Police are investigating the circumstances of the train derailment. According to preliminary data, this was due to a technical malfunction.
On December 24, a passenger train collided with a rock fragment that fell onto a railway track and derailed near the town of Gabrovo in Bulgaria. None of the passengers were injured.
