Myanmar earthquake death toll rises to 3,085

"As of 8 a.m. on April 3, local time, 3,085 people were killed, 4,715 were injured, and 341 were missing as a result of a powerful earthquake in Myanmar," the agency said in a statement. The earthquake, measuring 7.7 in magnitude, occurred in Myanmar, 12 kilometers from the city of Sagaing. The epicenter was located at a depth of ten kilometers. The tremors were also felt in neighboring countries: Bangladesh, India, Thailand, Laos and China. |
